Here at Minsky’s we sometimes get a little carried away - a question asking why Peter Edward’s (a Minsky’s director) milkman, Mark , seemed to be down in the dumps ended with a massive fundraising effort.
Peter asked Mark why he was so down, and learned that his eight-year-old daughter Courtney Boughey had cerebral palsy but had been turned down for an electric wheelchair.
Within a month, Peter had called in contacts, friends and clients and was soon in the middle of receiving fundraising help ranging from Steven Gerrard’s signed football shirt through to Amir Khan’s boxing gloves. And with help from all the staff at the salon and customers who took part in pamper nights £3500 was raised within just a month.
Which meant, of course that a big smile was soon all over Courtney’s face:

In the words of Peter Edwards, “People have been incredibly kind in helping to raise this money. The reward is in her face - it’s called joy. Thank you all.”
